We've all seen his type on message boards on the net. They show up, post some stuff that's just totally meant to incite, and then sit back and watch whatever fireworks they've started.
They're called "trolls" and the best thing to do is just ignore them - because they don't even like listening to themselves after awhile. If you respond to them, then they get what they wanted - if you don't respond to them, they have no power.
So, ignore the guy and let him go troll somewhere else.

Ahhh typical. Products of public schools always talk about how "private school" kids generalize public school kids into one big group, and lookey here you are doing the exact same thing except visaversa. Interesting.

you have no idea waht you are talking about dlckhead. You are probably richer than I am and I went to private school. That is the funniest thing about this whole stupid public vs. private thing that has been around, all you kids who go to these big public schools in the suburbs are richer than alot of private school kids. yall act like there is a huge difference financially and there is not, I have friends who live up there and the houses are no nicer inside the perimeter and there is no less money to go around up there. especially the kids who play lacrosse at places that have well funded programs and support like lassiter, there are percentage wise just as many rich kids on your lacrosse team as any private school, yall just keep looking for ways to make yourselves feel special, so you act like if you just go with the stereotype of private school kids having more money (which isn't true) to make yourself feel like you are the underdog going up against some big rich establishment. secondline, i guarantee you I am probably less spoiled than you are and my parents have never babied me, they give me no money, I have to work for what i spend; so stop being an as$hole.

I know there are always exceptions to the rule, but I think its a strech to say that as a whole kids who go to private school kids are not any richer than kids who go to public schools. While schools like Lassiter might have a high number of people in the middle and upper-middle class, that is certainly not a representation of public schools as a whole.

You know I really don't care who is richer, I just wish that public school kids who do go to schools that have tons of wealthly kids would stop pregnant doging about how private school kids are nothing but rich pricks.

Ok, hopefully this will clear some things up...
Kids going to private day schools and private boarding schools are going there for one reason, to get into a good college. Their parents mainly went to good institutions and want their kids to reap the same benefits. They are essentially investing in education. Just look at the numbers, the percentage of kids going from a Westminster, Pace, Lovett or Marist to a top university is rediculous. This isnt just Ivy League schools, this is MIT, Cal, Duke, Virginia, Colgate, Colby, Middlebury, Babson, Emory the list goes on.
Public schools dont get a large percentage of kids going to schools like that. Why? Many of thier parents don't invest in education like private school parents. yes it is a lot of money to send your child to even a day school, some are upwards of $10,000 a year, but the families sending their kids to boarding schools are paying pretty much a full college tuition, $30,000.
Im not trying to say that public schools can't get you into one of thoses schools but it is much harder. Private schools are better schools and are much more competitive. They dont inflate grades to get kids on the HOPE Scholarship. It has become a ploy for public school parents and even some private school parents to be suckered into making their child go to a Georgia because it costs less, rather than sending them to the top private college that they got into. I think that is crap, and any parent saying that you have to stay in state should be kicked in the banus.
Just think about it, going to a private school is better, you go to a better school, you dont have whining biitchy public school teachers breathing down your neck and your school has more money to spend on you, the individual.

way to generalize completley and create a division thats not really there.
Private schools choose who gets in, thus making a more competitive environment. What kids do with that has nothing to do with whether or not its a public school...you cant pay your kid into college, he has to want to get there and study. You have just as good an oppourtunity where there is a less competitive environments and make higher (even if they are "inflated") grades at a public school. Public school teachers whining? are u kidding? they teach because they WANT to, plus they get paid more at public schools than private.
Private schools probably send more kids to "better schools" because the fact that you have to apply and get into a private school, thus meaning you have good grades to begin with. But, going to one doesnt mean you have a better oppourtunity, because with ambition you can do the same, for free, at a public school by taking AP courses, etc....

First of all just like LaxMiddie said, You cant generalize and say that all of the kids that go public schools are just as rich...I like right next to Hooch and if you go in any of our neighborhoods youd be hardpressed to find a house over 250.
Everybodys being retarted about this argument...there are pros and cons to each side, and obviously our more zealous posters arent going to change their minds

Private schools dont send more of their kids to colleges because their students are naturally smarter. Most parents that send their kids to these schools usually base a higher emphasis on education, so they provide their kids with all the materials they need, the learning envirement at home they need, the envirement at school they need (hence why they send them to private schools). When the parents do that the kid always has a chance at doing better. The kids have an easier time sucecceding because their parents have made sure they have everything they need set. Their sucess to get into the private school and then the college is a biproduct of the parents work raising them.

I would agree that going to a Private School gives prepares you a little bit better. That being said, what the hell. because people go to a public school doesnt make them less smart than someone who goes to a private school. anyone who says that people who go to private schools are naturally smarter is just freakin stupid.
