Listen I play for Milton. I don't understand why people are saying we're classless and thingyy. We haven't posted anything on these messageboards all year. Most of us are friends with Chattahoochee players, but obviously Hoochlax and Foe20 have something against them. I personally have grown up playing with most of those guys at hooch and I got nothing wrong with them.
Now on to my post. Hoochee I have played ya'll everyyear for the past 3 years. In 2003, as some have claimed, we apparently were whining. What you neglected to mention is the table top hit on one of the Arnold brothers. One kid hit him high, then Magyar came in and hit him in the neck. At that poing milton was winning 4-1. The kid had to be taken off in ambulence and was motionless for 30 minutes. You can say what you want, but tell the truth about the game. After that we lost it, we just couldnt recover from seeing a player and friend on the field not moving. That year, mind you and inexperianced team 14 freshmen and sophomores, lost to a good lassiter team in the first round, as expected.
The following year, hurt badly on injuries on the defensive side, milton went 15-3. Beat hooch, beat pope, got cheated out of a very good game with westminster. Hooch wasnt even a contest the entire time regardless of the score, it wasn't close. The night before harrison, some milton players made a poor poor choice and went to music midtown, lost the next morning. They choked as a team, but harrison's attackman had like 8 goals. Low moment in a season that could have been very special.
This year, Milton struggled playing as a team. They were really inconsistent and could not clear a ball to save their lives. Played 3 quarters with lassiter before the bottom dropped out. the first lovett game, milton messed around for a half, then dominated the 2nd half but lost by one. Hoochee, ya'll took it to milton right off the bat. got up by 4, then lost the lead. back and forth game. Hoochee coach pulling a bush league style move and calling stick checks on our best player. then telling his guys to put him down, i heard it from his mouth, they succeeded, slight concussion. Milton fought back still. They wouldve won, if not for and extremely ill advised shot with 30 seconds left that kirkwood made a nice save on. Fink played his heart out and scored to put it into overtime, in which miltons face off guy lost the wrong one, and fink did it again. Ya;ll win. Oh well move on. Lovett in the playoffs, milton showed the type of team they could be in the first half, jumping to a 7-5 lead at halftime. The bottom fell out in the 2nd half and got beat on both ends of the field, the opposite of the first lovett game it seemed like. But, non the less a game that couldve been won.
Yes we are 0-3 in the playoffs, but thats gonna make us better in the long run. We dont go around bragging about our selves. Until we beat lassiter and lovett we don't have that privaledge. Hooch guys, its a rivalry, its supposed to be intense, but dont over exagerate things. It takes away from the respect ya'll deserve from this season. You have bragging rights for one year, and we will see you next spring.
